Would you like to take an MBA class?
Students admitted to another graduate program at Illinois State University are eligible to take up to twelve hours of MBA courses (excluding foundation courses). Non-business students first need to obtain their major advisor’s permission to register for classes and then must submit to the MBA Office a completed Non-Major Enrollment Request form. Permission to enroll is dependent upon space availability in the requested course(s) and completion of any prerequisite(s). MBA students have priority in registration.
Would you like to complete a second master's degree with nine less hours?
If you are currently enrolled in another graduate program at Illinois State University and would like to complete an MBA degree in addition to that program, as long as you apply to, and are admitted to the MBA Program before you receive your other graduate degree, you may be able to count up to nine hours towards both degrees, saving yourself one semester of study. This is called a simultaneous master’s degree. For more information, see our FAQ’s for current students, see the Graduate Catalog (look under Master’s Degrees, Two Simultaneously), or make an appointment to speak to an MBA staff member.
Would you like to change master’s degree programs?
Although changing programs is discouraged, sometimes graduate students find programs are not what they expected and wish to make a change. A transfer from one degree program to another (a program change) requires approval of the receiving department/school. The MBA Program encourages students to contact their departments to discuss the situation before deciding to change, and inform the departments before completing MBA application materials.
